Parkway Medical Center is delighted to announce the addition of Decatur’s newest pediatrician, Dr. Tanya de la Vergne and Milestone Pediatrics at Parkway.

‘Supervising the health of children requires not only great qualifications as a medical professional, but also an excellent bed-side manor. We believe that Dr. de la Vergne possesses those special qualities and we feel privileged to have her join our medical staff”, said Tim McGill Parkway CEO.

A New Orleans native, Dr. de la Vergne attended medical school and residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine where she was Chief Resident. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. de la Vergne had been in private practice in North Carolina and Pennsylvania before moving to Decatur with her family. Her husband, Dr. John Stafford, an OB/Gyn, is currently practicing with the Monarch Women’s Health group. They have 4 children ranging in ages from college to 4th grade.

“We are excited about putting down roots in Decatur and learning more about this community. Caring for children is what I love to do, and I look forward to being a part of many families’ lives and watching these children grow,” said Dr. de la Vergne.
